STRENGTHS
Vampirism has other perks than simple immortality. All of Dorian's senses have been heightened by his vampirism, making him able to pick up on a lot of things that regular humans do not. For instance, he is able to see almost perfectly even when there is virtually no light present. He is faster, more agile and far stronger than a mortal man has any possibility of becoming, as well as more resistant to damage. Trying to hurt him when he is in prime condition might feel unnervingly similar to carving marble with a butter-knife. Any injuries he might sustain heal rapidly, even those that might have proven fatal to a normal human being. Minor injuries heal within seconds while more severe ones might take a few days to disappear completely. He is also completely immune to disease, even those that would normally have been transmitted through blood. Apart from the enhancement to his natural abilities, however, Dorian possesses no special perks or gifts that sets him apart as completely supernatural, such as flight, wall-crawling or mindreading. The only thing that might count as such is what you might describe as an ability to draw in prey by hypnosis, although it is more a sort of an alluring aura. |
WEAKNESSES
As most vampires, Dorian is extremely vulnerable to sunlight, to the point where stays indoors unless there is no chance of the sun coming out. Prolonged exposure might kill him, but an actual attempt to see if he could survive it has yet to be made. Sunlight or direct articifial light also tampers heavily with his vision since it is so sensitive. If his eyes have become accustomed to darkness and someone where to shine a light directly at him he would be rendered blind for at least a handful of seconds. There are certain poisons that will paralyze him, although not outright kill him, if applied in very generous ammounts. Argubly, his need to sustain himself on human blood is also a weakness, or at least a limitation, as there is very few discrete ways of doing this and it becomes problematic if he goes too long without blood. Even though he regenerates rapidly Dorian still feels pain, although he possesses a higher tolerance than a human, and might bleed out if wounded so badly he doesn't have the time to regenerate. The most efficient way of killing him would be decapitation, stabbing him through the heart or destroying his body beyond repair. |
